Recently, the Phase II capacity expansion project of Shenzhen Fubao Technology Eco-Park, in which GETO participated, reached a major milestone with the successful completion of its joint acceptance inspection. The project adopted GETO’s customized GT-48 lightweight early-stripping industrial formwork system, making it the first industrial multi-storey development project in China to achieve the large-scale application of early-stripping aluminum formwork technology at a floor height of 10.5 meters.

Located on Jinxiu West Road, Longtian Subdistrict, Pingshan District, the project is a next-generation innovative technology industrial park constructed under the general contracting of China Construction Steel Structure Co., Ltd.With a total gross floor area of 118,900 square meters, it is a key project invested in and controlled by the Shenzhen municipal government. Featuring large spans, high floor heights, and heavy load-bearing requirements, the project represents an important milestone in Shenzhen’s efforts to improve intensive land use and promote the “industrial upward development” model championed by Shenzhen Fubao Group.
From the very beginning, the project presented significant construction challenges. The above-ground floor heights varied considerably: 10.5 meters on Floors 1–2, 6.0 meters on Floors 3–6, and 4.5 meters from Floor 7 to the top floor, while the entire above-ground structure was required to adopt all-aluminum formwork construction. Among these, the ultra-high formwork support construction for the 10.5-meter floors was extremely rare in China in terms of using aluminum alloy formwork combined with an early-stripping process. In addition, the project involved large column dimensions, complex reinforcement requirements, limited site space, and a tight construction schedule, making traditional aluminum formwork support methods incapable of meeting project demands.

In response to these challenges, GETO became deeply involved from the early stage of the project and completed the entire preparation process—from bid finalization to the arrival of materials for the first construction zone—in just 20 days. At the same time, GETO provided a customized integrated solution. For the 10.5-meter and 6-meter high-floor areas, the project adopted a construction method combining ringlock scaffolding, transfer connectors, and early-stripping aluminum formwork, together with fully decked working platforms. This solution not only addressed the safety challenges of high-support formwork construction, but also met on-site material storage requirements. For the 4.5-meter floor-height areas, GETO adopted a system of independent props plus early-stripping aluminum formwork, enabling full early-stripping aluminum formwork construction throughout the project.
By skillfully integrating the strengths of ringlock scaffolding, independent supports, and aluminum formwork, and through the development of dedicated transfer components and innovative construction methods, GETO achieved a smooth transition between ringlock scaffolding and aluminum formwork systems. This not only created China’s first large-scale integrated early-stripping case combining high-support ringlock scaffolding and aluminum formwork, but also established a new application model for aluminum formwork in high-support construction scenarios.

During construction, GETO worked closely with the project team and applied its self-developed detailed design softwareto optimize both the building structure and construction process. This approach enabled on-site turnover and reuse of aluminum formwork, reduced construction waste, and lowered the cost of later-stage patching and surface finishing. At the same time, through coordinated, multi-disciplinary, full-process overlapping construction, the project effectively minimized idle work fronts, made process connections more compact, and improved the balance of resource allocation. This green and efficient construction approach not only saved costs in materials, labor, and waste disposal, but also provided strong support for the project’s early completion.

Thanks to its outstanding technical solution and construction performance, the project has received multiple honors, including “Shenzhen Excellent Construction Site for Safety Production and Civilized Construction” and “Shenzhen High-Quality Structural Engineering Award.” It was also awarded the “High-Quality Formwork and Scaffolding Project” prize by the China Infrastructure Materials Leasing and Contracting Association, making it a benchmark project for high-support aluminum formwork applications within the industry.
