GETO is responsible for the internal formwork of the cast-in-place cantilever box girder, providing customized aluminum formwork products for the bridge. The project includes a total of 30 construction segments, and GETO began supplying internal formwork products and services from Segment 8 onward. At present, the project is progressing smoothly. In July, construction of the first segment of the cable-stayed bridge was successfully completed.
In early September, the first phase of the internal box girder formwork works was also successfully completed. The project has faced multiple challenges. The plateau environment, characterized by low oxygen levels and highly variable weather conditions, placed extremely high demands on both construction personnel and equipment stability. In addition, the dense internal diaphragm walls and cable anchorage partition walls inside the box girder made it impossible to use the traditional construction method of moving steel formwork integrally with the form traveler. As a result, a piece-by-piece assembled formwork method had to be adopted, which imposed stringent requirements on the flexibility of assembly, material strength, and lightweight performance of the formwork system.
