GETO Supports Construction of the Rangdaqu Grand Bridge - Steadily Overcoming Complex Challenges in the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin
In Qungdo Town, Bomi County, Tibet, at an altitude of 3,200 meters, construction of the Rangdaqu Grand Bridge, in which GETO is participating, is progressing in an orderly manner amid the high mountain canyons along the left bank of the Yarlung Zangbo tributary, a key area within the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin. With a total length of 598.2 meters, the bridge adopts a (124m + 246m + 124m) low-pylon cable-stayed design with a tower-pier-girder consolidation system for its main span. It is a key connecting project between the Duoji Tunnel and the Duomuge Tunnel. The main tower rises 47 meters above the bridge deck, while the approach bridge is designed as a 2 × 44m T-shaped continuous girder, requiring the entire construction process to adapt to the complex mountainous and canyon terrain surrounding the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin.
