Precast U-Beam
Precast U-Beam
Precast U-beam is a prestressed concrete beam with a "U"-shaped (trough-shaped) cross-section, belonging to an open thin-walled structure, with the track slab (slab track) located at the bottom of the two webs as the load-bearing structure. U-beams are widely used in urban rail transit viaducts and railway bridge engineering. The Gongji Formwork Bridge Series precast U-beam mold adopts high-precision integral steel formwork design, capable of precisely forming the U-shaped cross-section to meet the prefabrication needs of various urban rail transit and highway bridge projects.
Product Advantages
Precast U-Beam
Low structural height: The structural height of a U-beam is only one-third that of a traditional box girder, facilitating optimization of vertical alignment
Excellent noise reduction: The two side webs effectively block wheel-rail noise, achieving noise reduction of up to 6 decibels
Cost saving: Compared with box girder structures, it can save 6%–9% of total construction cost
Shortened construction period: The main structure integrates railings and other functional components, saving approximately one-fifth of construction time
Aesthetic appearance: Light and slim structure with smooth lines, offering superior visual quality over conventional beam types
Low maintenance cost: Simple structure, convenient inspection and maintenance, resulting in low life-cycle costs
