Located in the core area of Guangzhou, the Guangzhou Science and Technology Finance Center (“Yunxi” Twin Towers) is a landmark high-rise development integrating premium office functions with an iconic urban image.
The project adopted an integrated application of aluminum formwork, climbing scaffolding, and elevator shaft climbing formwork systems. Inspired by the concept of “Yunxi,” the façade design features a highly distinctive flowing architectural expression. The main structure presents a curved geometry, with outwardly protruding east and west elevations, inwardly recessed north and south elevations, and a vertical profile that first expands and then tapers upward. Each floor has a different perimeter line, with the maximum outward extension reaching 1.5 meters, creating significant construction complexity and demanding technical requirements. 
To address the challenges posed by the project’s irregular geometry, GETO optimized the conventional climbing scaffold system and developed a curve-fitting climbing scaffold solution tailored to the structure. By incorporating key design innovations such as telescopic wall-connecting supports, secondary turning platforms, and extendable main frames, the system achieved precise adaptation to the building’s curved form. This significantly enhanced the safety, stability, and applicability of the climbing system during construction, effectively meeting the demands of a super high-rise project with complex architectural geometry.
At the same time, GETO provided a one-stop integrated solution covering aluminum formwork, climbing scaffolding, and elevator shaft climbing formwork, with services spanning detailed design, product manufacturing, on-site application, and technical support. Through the coordinated integration of multiple systems, the project reduced the traditional coordination challenges associated with multiple suppliers, improved overall construction efficiency, and enhanced site management performance. The project stands as a strong example of GETO’s capability to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions for complex high-rise developments.
