A capping beam (bent cap) is a transverse beam placed at the top of a bent pier, used to support, distribute, and transfer loads from the bridge superstructure. Capping beams are primarily constructed of reinforced concrete or lightly reinforced concrete, and are key load-bearing components in the bridge substructure that connect the pier columns to the superstructure girders.
Load-Transferring Structure Between Bridge Pile Foundation and Pier Column
A pile cap is a reinforced concrete platform structure placed on top of piles to connect multiple pile foundations into an integrated whole, playing a key role in uniformly transferring loads from the pier column and superstructure to the pile foundation. Pile caps are classified by position into high pile caps and low pile caps, and are an important component of the bridge substructure.
Vertical Supporting Member of Bridge Superstructure
A pier column is a vertical supporting member in the bridge substructure that directly bears the loads from the bridge span structure and transfers them to the pile cap and pile foundation. Pier columns are typically constructed of reinforced concrete or prestressed concrete and are key components determining the overall stability and seismic performance of the bridge.
Prefabrication Mould System for Factory Production
This mould system is used for the factory production of precast segmental beams. Subsequent segments are match‑cast against the end face of the preceding segment, enabling progressive prefabrication. The system mainly consists of four components: bottom formwork, side formwork, internal formwork, and end formwork. Each component features a modular design for rapid assembly and flexible adjustment to accommodate various structural variations. All subsystems are fully hydraulically driven, ensuring high construction efficiency and low labor intensity.
Offshore Prefabricated Steel Temporary Construction Facility
This system employs a prefabricated steel structure comprising steel pipe piles and Bailey trusses, complemented by an anti‑corrosion protection system. The trestle serves as a transport corridor for personnel, vehicles, and materials over water, while the steel platform provides a fixed working surface for pile foundations, pier shafts, and equipment storage. It effectively converts offshore operations into land‑based standardized construction and is widely used for sea‑crossing bridges, offshore wind power projects, and temporary works in wharf and waterfront areas.
The balanced cantilever bridge construction equipment (commonly known as a form traveler) is a specialized core system for cantilever casting of bridges. Supported on already cast segments, it can move forward along the bridge axis and integrates formwork support, rebar tying, concrete pouring, and other functions. With a lightweight structure, easy movement, and stable load transfer, it is primarily used for cantilever construction of long‑span continuous beams and continuous rigid‑frame bridges. It enables precise segmental casting of the beam, greatly improving the efficiency and quality of elevated cantilever operations.
